Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All mowing shall be completed in an area prior to moving to another area. *The Government will consider the simultaneous mowing of multiple areas, if the awarding contractor can demonstrate they possess the manpower and equipment, which allows for the successful and timely completion of simultaneous mowing.* Mowing will not be permitted when wet ground conditions exist, such that, mowing operations will cause rutting or otherwise disturb existing turf. Tractors/mowers shall be operated in such a manner as to protect against the sod being torn by the wheels on turns. In the event sod is damaged, the Contractor shall re-dress and seed the damaged areas with KY-31 fescue seed at the rate of 100 pounds per acres or Contracting Officer Representative's (COR) approved equal. Extreme care shall be exercised when mowing and trimming around Piezometers (PZ'z) and Alignment Monuments, to insure equipment does not damage objects. Damage of said instruments by the Contractor's equipment shall be repaired or replacement in size, kind and type. The Contractor shall borne all cost incurred by the damage..Repair or replacement shall occur within 30 calendar days of damage. All trimming shall be accomplished either simultaneously or immediately following mowing, and in all instances shall be completed no later than 24 hours after mowing, except that this paragraph shall not be construed to alter the total time allowed as specified. The guardrail at the Dam shall be trimmed. Trimming height shall match surrounding area grass heights. All mowing equipment shall be compatible with each other in mowing height and appearance of cut grass. Mowing shall be accomplished so that all turf areas are cut to a height between 3 and 5 inches as directed by the COR. Approximate mowing areas are indicated on the attached Map. Exact boundary limits of mowing and trimming shall be as directed by the COR.
