Description

This is a special notice to inform the public about the Department of Veterans Affairs Veteran Owned and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Outreach Event. This is not a solicitation. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will be sponsoring a Veterans Outreach Event in Chicago, IL. The event is free to all veterans but registration is required. See the Veterans Affairs OSDBU website for registration information (www.va.gov/osdbu). The Veterans Outreach Event will provide a panel session of procurement experts along with other VA leaders. There will be sessions on the Federal Supply Schedule, VA's Mentor Protégé' Program and afternoon Matchmaking sessions on how to do business with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Date: May 25, 2011 Time: 7:30 AM - 08:30 AM (Registration) 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Veterans Outreach Event) Location: Hyatt Regency McCormack Place 2233 South Martin L. King Drive Chicago, IL 60616 Cost: Free Objective of the Event: The objective of the Veterans Affairs Outreach Event is to inform veterans and veteran small businesses on procurement opportunities, provide information on the Federal Supply Schedule and the Mentor Protégé' Program and how to do business with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Matchmaking session provide small businesses with one on one small business counseling.
