- Description
- DARPA-BAA-11-51 CBMEN PROPOSERS' DAY CONFERENCE DARPA will host a Proposers' Day Conference in support of the DARPA-BAA-11-51 Content-Based Mobile Edge Networking (CBMEN) program on May 13, 2011 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at The Capital Conference Center, 6th floor, 3601 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22201. The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the CBMEN program; promote additional discussion on this topic; and address questions from potential proposers. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: The CBMEN program will develop the network services and transport architectures to enable efficient, transparent distribution of content in mobile ad hoc network environments. It is envisioned that battlefield applications will utilize these CBMEN network services to efficiently distribute content. The goal of the CBMEN program is to reduce latency and increase the effective throughput of content for warfighters at the tactical edge. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Participants must register no later than close of business (5:00 PM ET) May 10, 2011, by sending an email with names and titles of attendees to: DARPA-BAA-11-51@darpa.mil. Directions to the facility can be found at: www.thecapitalconferencecenter.com. There is no registration fee for attending this conference. Due to space limitations at the conference facility, attendance will be limited to the first 100 registrants, and no more than 2 representatives per organization. The Proposers' Day will be unclassified. All attendees must fill out one of the following forms: For US Citizens - US Citizenship Verification Form OR for Non-US Citizens - DARPA Form 60. The completed forms must be returned to: DARPA-BAA-11-51@darpa.mil, no later than close of business May 10, 2011. Forms will be sent with a reply confirming your registration was received. Attendees will be required to present government issued photo identification upon entry to the Proposers Day. For proposer's wishing to discuss their proposal ideas and receive feedback, the program manager will set aside time on May 19, 24, and 26 for scheduling nine (9) 20 minute discussions on each day to provide feedback relative to the BAA criteria. Scheduled meetings can be requested through the BAA email address (DARPA-BAA-11-51@darpa.mil), and will be filled in the order that requests are made with one session per proposer. The Proposers' Day Conference does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals. Attendance is voluntary and is not required to propose to any potential related Broad Agency Announcements or potential research solicitations on this topic. DARPA will not provide reimbursement for any costs incurred to participate in this Proposer's Day.
