Description

Department of Veterans Affairs VA MidSouth Healthcare Network (VISN 9) Notice of Intent to Sole Source: The Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Louisville, 800 Zorn Ave, Louisville, KY 40206 intends to negotiate a sole source contract with NX Stage Medical Inc. of Lawrence, Massechuesetts, for the purchase of a Dialysis Machine and supplies to support it. The NAICS code for these items is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 Employees. The Government believes that NX Stage Medical Inc. is the only authorized provider for the Dialysis Machine and Supplies. This is a sole source procurement utilizing, 38 U.S.C. 8153 and Other than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes it can provide these supplies may give written notification to the Contract Specialist, no later than 5:30 PM CST, April 29, 2011. Supporting evidence of ability to provide a Dialysis Machine and Supplies must be furnished in sufficient detail, to the Purchasing Agent, Keith Nestinger, via email address: keith.nestinger@va.gov or faxed to (615)225-5431. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, VA will proceed with the sole source negotiation to NXStage Medical Inc for the required NXStage System One Dialysis Unit. No substitutions; NXStage One Dialysis Unit, 1 each Fluid warmer FW-200 (purchased with system), 1 each NXStage Disposables (6 units per case), 1 case NXStage Pureflow Solution (2 bags per case), 1 case
