- Amendment 0001 National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Seawall Extension at Wallops Island, Virginia. Add a new seawall section extending 1,419 ft (including flank Wall) South of the existing rubblemound seawall is to be constructed to stabilize the shoreline seaward of the MARS launch facility (PAD 0B). The new extended seawall will consist of an improved design over the existing seawall in that this will incorporate a foundation, an inner core, and larger (4-7 ton) armor stone. THIS IS A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE PROCUREMENT. NAICS CODE 237990 applies to this procurement. The target cost of the base bid is between $3,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. A Site Visit will be conducted on April 19, 2011 from 10:00 until 12:00 noon. The location for the Site Visit is Wallops Island Flight Facility, Building N-161 R-108 (Room Number). This will be the ONLY opportunity contractors will have to see the site. ALL CONTRACTORS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THE ATTENDEE'S NAMES AND NAME OF ORGANIZATION IN WRITING TO ASHLEY REYNOLDS, Ashley.R.Reynolds@usace.army.mil NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY APRIL 13TH BY 10:00 am. The bid due date is Thursday, May 12th at 2:00 pm. Submission requirements (plans/specs) will be available on/about 13 APRIL 2011 via Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps, https://www.fbo.gov). Search on W91236% for solicitations issued by Norfolk District. No hard copies will be available. Prospective contractors must be registered Vendors with https://www.fbo.gov in order to download plans and specifications. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to obtain access to FedBizOpps. CCR Registration must also be active and current to be eligible for contract award. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov.
