Description

The Department of Veterans' Affairs, VISN 15 has requirement for Women's Health Restrooms & Privacy Corrections at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, 4801 Linwood Boulevard, Kansas City, Missouri 64128. Contractor shall be capable of providing all plant, labor, tools, parts, equipment, transportation and incidentals needed to completely prepare site for building operations, renovation of facilities, including demolition and removal of existing structures and perform work for Women's Health, Restrooms and Privacy Corrections as required by drawings and specifications Work includes general construction, renovations, and alterations. Scope of work shall include renovation of six (6) women's health (e.g. female) rest rooms to correct deficiencies. Deficiency corrections shall include, but not necessarily limited to, rest room stall partition replacement, stall partition installation for those currently without partitions, fixtures, faucets, changing tables, feminine products dispensers, lighting, mirrors, and paint. Scope shall also include renovations to existing women's health (e.g. female) examination rooms not properly configured for adequate patient privacy by installing privacy curtains and support tracks shown on drawings or VA provided bidding documents. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d) and in accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Health Care and Information Technology Act of 2006, this construction project is Total Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The project cost range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220, with a small business size standard $33.5 million. The completion period shall include final inspection. Award will be made utilizing the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection (LPTA) Process in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 15. Proposal submission instructions will be included in the solicitation package. The government plans to award without discussions. The offeror is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from the Federal Business Opportunities (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) website, which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases under the applicable NAICS. Firms may obtain CCR information at http://www.ccr.gov and VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. The solicitation package and drawings should be available for download on or about May 12, 2011, and the proposal due date will be on or about June 13, 2011. An organized site visit will be scheduled and the information will be made available at time of solicitation issuance. Only one site visit will be scheduled and interested offerors are highly encouraged to attend. No hard copies of the solicitation or drawings will be provided; and telephone requests or questions will NOT be accepted.
