Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement to acquire contractor services to develop and foster federal agency collaborative efforts, advance the national agenda for high priority research and development (R&D), and create coordinated multi-agency plans for realizing national goals for new construction and buildings and energy-efficient technologies so to lower operating costs, energy and water consumption, and CO2 emissions as described in the Performance Work Statement to be included in the solicitation. It is anticipated that any solicitation for this work may be issued on or before May 30, 2011, using FAR Part 12, Commercial Item Acquisitions utilizing FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisition Procedures - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Government anticipates the award of a fixed price contract on or about September 5, 2011 with a base period of twelve months and a two one year option periods. The competitive solicitation, all amendments, and any questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will only be available via the internet at the above website. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant Purchase Order. There is no written solicitation document available at this time, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained. Potential offerors are requested to direct all questions via e-mail to cheryl.coxen@nist.gov. To be eligible for award, offerors MUST be registered with the Central Contractor Registry: www.ccr.gov and have completed its representations and certifications found at http://orca.bpn.gov. THIS REQUIREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541618, and the size standard is $7.0M.
