Sole Source Justification This is a SOLE SOURCE combined synopsis/solicitation requirement to purchase a DYCOR DYMAXION MASS SPECTROMETER MODEL DME300MN. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. 45 CONS/LGCB, Patrick AFB, FL, 32925 intends to award to AMETEK, INC., 150 Freeport Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15238, the only source capable of fulfilling the Government's requirement. The DYCOR DYMAXION MASS SPECTROMETER MODEL DME300MN is proprietary to AMETEK, INC.. 45 CONS, Patrick AFB, FL 32925 is seeking to purchase commercial items manufactured by AMETEK, INC.. The solicitation number RFQ# F3KTK71084A002 be used to reference any written correspondence. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-51. This is a sole source requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. Item Description Qty Unit Unit Price Total Amount 0001 1 EA DME300MN-Dycor Dymaxion Mass Spectrometer - Complete with Dymaxion Electronic Units and 1-300 AMU range analyzer head, with Enclosed Ion Source, Faraday cup and Channel Plate electron multiplier detectors, 24 VDC power supply. Also includes System 2000 Multi-Sensor software for Windows 98 through Windows 7, which supports: 1)Multiple head operation, 2)I/O pak Data Acquisition Subsystem operation (hardware available separately) and 3)Script developer and DDE/OLE Automation for automation/integration use. The Dymaxion Electronics unit consists of a Smart Sensor electronic box, that mounts directly onto the sensor lead. Two RS-485 ports allow the analyzer to be linked directly to a PC host running the Dycor System 2000 software for Windows 98 thru Windows 7, or multiple units looped together. To be used with user's vacuum or process chamber. 0006 1 EA M95 - Mobile Cart: Includes complete packaging of the mass spectrometer power supply, inlet system and pumping station into one integrated package.
