Description

Compensation & Pension Program Benefit Examinations VA White City Oregon Healthcare System The U.S. Veterans Administration White City Healthcare System is seeking contract Licensed Independent Providers ("LIPs") to perform Mental Health and Neuro-Psychiatric/TBI examinations of military veterans. The purpose of the examinations is to provide medical evidence in support of claims for disability compensation or pension benefits. The contractor will be required to perform disability examinations to support claims processing for veterans who have filed a claim for disability compensation or pension benefits. The contractor shall provide the full range of medical disability examinations for mental health (e.g., mental disorders, including post traumatic stress disorder ["PTSD"]). All work will be performed at the VA facility in White City, Oregon. Contract LIPs performing under this contract shall be board certified or eligible, having successfully completed a residency program in one of the following medical specialties: Mental Health Neurology Or, other specialties as requirements occur Physicians performing under this contract shall provide verifiable evidence of clinical experience and competence. It is expected that approximately 260 examinations in various specialties will be scheduled within the Base Period. Compensation will be provided on a per-examination basis. The anticipated start date of this contract is June 1, 2011. The contract will be for an initial base period, ending September 30, 2011. Multiple extension options are provided through fiscal year 2013. This solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price, non-personal services healthcare contract. Multiple awards may be made.
