Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region has a requirement for the Replacement of the Boilers 'B1B' and 'B1C' in the Boiler Room (B116) in the Administration Wing Basement at the Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), 512 Division Street, Farmington, Minnesota. The project contains, but is not limited to, the following work items: 1. Replace Boilers 'B1B' and 'B1C' with new wetback, dual fuel, fire tube packaged boilers in the Boiler Room (B116) and replace its associated components per Drawing: ZMP-D-ARTCC-M004. The new boiler output shall be 100 HP and 62 HP respectively. 2. Replace all required hot water supply and hot water return piping, and recirculation pump and piping in the Boiler Room. 3. Replace all required natural gas and fuel oil piping, breeching, stack, vent and drains for Boilers 'B1B' and 'B1C'. 4. Replace existing four (4) 4-inch shut-off valves, two (2) 4-inch balancing valves with new and provide new two (2) 4-inch electric motorized operating valves. 5. Disconnect and reconnect existing required DDC points. Add and modify existing DDC points per drawing ZMP-D-ARTCC-M004 and reprogram as required. 6. Remove existing asbestos containing materials (ACM) from Boilers 'B1B' and 'B1C'. 7. Electrical work and other work as required on the project drawings and in the specifications. Contract performance time is 60 calendar days. The estimated price range for this procurement is $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. NAICS Code is 237990 INTERESTED FIRMS MUST HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED AT LEAST THREE SIMILAR PROJECTS IN DOLLAR AMOUNT, SCOPE OF WORK, AND COMPLEXITY, WITHIN THE LAST FIVE YEARS. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. VERBAL REQUESTS FOR THE SIR WILL NOT BE HONORED. The contractor awarded the contract must have active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.ccr.gov Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and certified 8(a) contractors are highly encouraged to submit a request for this project. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
