- Statement of Work Notice of Intend to Award Sole Source to Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirements References: FAR 5.203(a)(1) Publicizing and response time. FAR 5.207 Preparation and transmittal of synopses. FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements FAR 12.204(b) Solicitation/Contract form. FAR 12.603 Streamlined Solicitation for Commercial Items. 647th Contracting Squadron intend to award a new Sole Source Purchase Order to E&B Honolulu Hotels, LLC., a Small Business firm, to provide lodging support to Exercise Terminal Fury 2011. Requirements include providing approximately 250 rooms (200 double occupancy and 50 single occupancy) for the period of 14 - 27 May 2011. A limited-source only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements justification and approval for sole source solicitation has been approved for this requirement because of the 5-mile or close proximity requirement for lodging. The limited source requirement was justified for security and safety of personnel, response time in case of emergency, and other significant logistical issues to billet personnel farther away from the base. Interested party who are small businesses may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 7 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. A determination not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the contracting officer's discretion. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement among responsible small businesses with capabilities to satisfy the government requirement. See attached Scope of Work.
