- Description
- The Department of Interior, National Park Service, Grand Teton National Park, is seeking interested sources that can provide a snow plow wing blade that meets the following specifications; (1) wing blade attachment/device - hydraulically controlled from the operator's location inside the truck cab by means of a 4-way lever, (2) moldboard - overall length not to exceed 9 feet, height at toe is approximately 27 inches, height at heal is approximately 37 inches, cutting edge length is 8 feet, thickness is 10 gauge steel or equivalent, reinforcing ribs are 3/8' thick on piece steel, finishing is powder coated in Omaha Orange color or equivalent, (3) mounting hardware and assemblies are powder coated black, (4) hydraulic cylinders for operation are two double acting cylinders for direct lift of toe and heel of the blade, (5) wing blade assembly - mid-truck mount type for right (passenger) side of vehicle, accommodate installation on a tandem axle dump truck (10-wheeler) with a center-to-center driving axle span of 55 inches, push arm on the back of the moldboard is spring cushioned, adjustable length, and equipped with shear bolt/pin, attachment of the push arm to the truck is by means of a transverse, under frame cross beam, (6) float function necessary to follow ground contour changes, trip function necessary to prevent damage from impacting obstacles, (7) operation/deployment - relatively quick, upon activating the lever, the blade should achieve full deployment in less than ten seconds, retraction should occur in the same amount of time, deployment should have a 'heel first' priority for contacting the ground to prevent the toe from digging in the ground, (8) plow hydraulics - operational with a pump pressure of 2100 psi or higher and a flow rate of 17 gpm or greater, (9) mounting brackets and associated parts do not extend vertically above the bottom of the dump box.
