- Description
- This requirement is to purchase sufficient electrical power to operate camp Arifjan, Kuwait with an expected expansion. Given the remote location of camp Arifjan, this means the contractor must purchase generators and other equipment. The contractor shall provide a diesel power generator power plant to generate power at 11kV, 3 phase, 50Hz and connect to an existing underground 11kV distribution system of ten radial feeders. The plant capacity shall be modular and expandable to support a load range from 4.65 to 12.74MW. This contract will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Priced IDIQ Contract with a base one year period and three one year option periods. This notice does not constitute a request for proposal (RFP). Requests for solicitation information will not receive response. The "Response Date" listed above is for archive purposes only and is not the date in which offers are due. The Date offers are due will not be identified until the solicitation is issued. The estimated solicitation issue date is 22 JUN 2011. This is an estimated date only and may be subject to change. The RFP will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5102(A) (7) and 14.205-1(C); therefore, hard copies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on are after the issue day by accessing the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at the following address via the internet: HTTPS://ACQUISITION.ARMY.MIL/ASFI/. Caution: This Solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder's mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendment and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same.
