- This is a notice of intent by the Center for Health Care Contracting (CHCC), 2199 Storage Street, Suite 68, Fort Sam Houston, Texas 78234-5074 to issue a renewal subscription of biomedical electronic clinical reference topical review database to support the U.S. Army Medical Department (AMEDD) physicians and Clinical staff for authoritative peer-reviewed, evidence-based medical information. This topical review database is required for physicians and medics as a first-line comprehensive and primary source of information. It will be used in a variety of settings, from the medical center, smaller military treatment facilities (MTFs) to clinics and deployed field units. The location of these MTFs and the user communities served can range from large metropolitan areas to remote locations with limited resources during wartime, peacekeeping, and humanitarian operations. A web-based clinical reference topical review resource providing valid and relevant answers to clinical questions quickly are required by Army clinicians. A link to this database will be posted on the AMEDD Virtual Library for IP authenticated access and some form of token key generation/user name/password access at each Army medical treatment facility. These databases shall provide multiple, simultaneous access via the Internet/World-Wide Web to clinical topical reviews including, but not limited to their medical specialties.
