Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) COMPETITION FOR EXISTING LEASE LOCATION The VA currently leases 100 parking spaces from Loma Linda University at 25240 Sheppardson Street, in Loma Linda, CA 92354 for general parking. The lease expires on May 31st, 2011. VA is considering renegotiating the term of the lease for up to six (6) years to begin no later than June 1, 2011 with termination rights after 3rd year and is conducting a competition for alternative parking space and will relocate if advantageous to the Government. The cost of moving, alterations, and other factors will be considered when determining whether to relocate. The contiguous parking space of up to 100 is required. Occupancy required by June 1, 2011. To be considered, space must be within and or border the following delineated area/boundaries: North - Shepardson Dr. /Stewart St. East - Benton St. West - Stewart St. /Mount St. /Anderson St. South - Prospect Ave. Offerors must provide evidence that properties are outside the 100-year flood plain. VA staff will conduct a market survey of properties offered for lease. Interested offerors (owners, brokers, or their legal representatives) should submit 2 copies of specific information concerning their properties to the VA by mail, fax, or e-mail no later than 2:00 p.m. on May 13, 2011, at the following address: Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 22 - Network Contracting Activity (NCA/ST) Specialized Team - Real Property ATTN: Sun Han 5901 E. 7th Street, Bldg. 149 Long Beach, CA 90822 Telephone: 562-826-5540 FAX: 562-961-1399 E-Mail: sun.han@va.gov The Government is limited by law (41 C.F.R. § 102-73.55) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for parking space. RESPONDENTS ARE ADVISED THAT THE VA ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY TO AWARD A LEASE BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS ADVERTISEMENT.
