Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs will hold a PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE/SITE VISIT for Tuesday June 14, 2011 at 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time in Battle Creek, MI. The VA intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price solicitation for laundry equipment for the VA Medical Center Battle Creek, MI. The VA is seeking potential sources for a government acquisition to provide: 2(ea) Flatwork Ironing System, 1(ea) 400/500 Pound Gas Heated Drying and Conditioning Tumbler, 1(ea) 120/125 Pound Drying and Conditioning Tumbler, 1(ea) Garment Tunnel Finisher. NO PROPOSALS ARE REQUESTED AT THIS TIME. The solicitation will be restricted to small businesses applicable NAICS code is 333312. The award(s) will be based on the best value to the Government. All relevant solicitation documents may be accessed for download on the date of issue at the following website: http://www.fbo.gov. Any amendments to the solicitation will be posted solely to this web site. It is the responsibility of the offeror to verify the number of amendments issued. The location of the conference is: Battle Creek VAMC, 5600 West Dickman Road, Battle Creek, MI 49037, Bldg. 145, Rm. 112, in main laundry facility. Please contact Pamela Howard @ (269)223-5551 for location directions. Conference participants will have the opportunity to make inquiries of VA contracting and engineering personnel. The VA feels that a site visit is essential to understanding the project. Participation in the pre-proposal conference/site visit will be the responsibility of the offerors and is not reimbursable by the Government. Pre-registration is encouraged prior to the site visit.
