- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to add the following information in hopes of providing clarity to the requirement: 1. Completion of work is defined as when all onsite work completed and reports are received by the COTR. 2. The successful offeror can decided whether they want to remove the source from the Liquid Scintillation counter or remove the entire counter. 3. The estimated award and start date is on or around June 1, 2011. 4. Work plans will be required prior to the start of the project. Plans will include survey and disposal plans. 5. The volume of unknown material will not be known until May 16th 2011. Quoters can get this information from the COTR after May 16, 2011. Site visits (to begin May 16, 2011) can be scheduled with the COTR beginning immediately. The Due Date for receiving solicitation is being extended to May 27, 2011. 6. The limits for swipes will be in accordance with NUREG 1556 Vol. 9 Appendix R (I-125 200 dpm/100cm2) ( 1,000dpm/100cm2 Beta-gamma emitters) not 2000 dpm/100cm2. 7. The Liquid Scintillation Counter onsite is not usable and therefore all swipes or smears will have to be counted by the chosen site of the successful offeror. 8. The successful offeror will be responsible for all generated radioactive waste during the project. 9. Reciprocity is required for out of state contractors. Reciprocity does not have to be obtained prior to award but once a successful offeror is chosen, that vendor must obtain reciprocity within ten (10) business days from the date of notification as being the successful offeror, otherwise their offer will no longer be considered. 10. Employee uniforms are not required but all Contractor employees must be clean and neat in appearance. 11. This requirement does not require that any power washing be performed.
