Description
This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is not a small business set-aside; any responsible source may submit a quote. Solicitation number M67400-11-T-0077 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-51 and DAC 91-13. The NAICS code is 334511. The Government intends to make single award to the responsible vendor whose quote is the most advantageous to the Government considering technical acceptability, price and delivery terms. - Item: Life Locator -Qty: 1ea -Item Description: Must have the ability to accurately and non-invasively locate survivors following structural collapse with the ability to see through debris, dust and other obstacles / Must be able to detect motion as slight as shallow breathing, within 30 seconds / Must have low power requirements / Must have rugged, weather and water resistant components / Must be able to distinguish the presence of live victims / Must be able to be deployed by a single individual / Must Comply with RSS-220, CE and FCC regulations / Must be a lightweight and portable system / Must have a large field of detection / Must be unaffected by scent drift or other bio-sensitivities that affect canine detection / Must be Non-invasive technology; no probes, no cables and no wiring / Must have a Rugged transit case / Require a lightweight, portable, and deployable by a single user sensor used in USAR (Urban Search Rescue) operations (weather, fire, or catastrophic attack, avalanches, flash floods, earthquakes, or other natural disasters) involving collapsed structures.
