- Title: U.S. Attorney Renovation : at the James T. Foley U.S. Courthouse 445 Broadway, Albany, NY SOLICITATION NUMBER: GS-02P-11-PW-C-0024 Under this project the Government seeks to renovate approximately 3,921 square feet of vacant fifth floor space at the U. S. Attorney's Office, north wing of the James T. Foley U.S. Courthouse, NY. The contract work incorporates: a limited amount of HVAC and electrical demolition work; work to cut and patch existing roofing system, work to cut and patch lead coated walls; work to cut openings in roof slabs, core drill floors, install waste and vent pipe for plumbing systems, install steel pipe for steam distribution system, install rooftop AHU on roof inside steel building; cut and patch steel building; install HVAC ductwork, VAV boxes and air outlet devices; refurbish fin tube radiation, modify existing panel board, install additional panel board, modify existing HVAC control panel; relocate toilet exhaust ductwork, install conduit systems for power, lighting and security systems, install light fixtures; install power outlets and data outlets, install cable trays; extend power feeders to rooftop AHU; renovate bathrooms, construct full-height sound rated partitions; install doors, frame and hardware; prep concrete floors, install flooring materials, paint walls, install built in furniture, modify fire alarm installations, modify sprinkler systems, modify building control systems, test and balance HVAC systems. In accordance with FAR 14.408-1, award will be made as a firm fixed price sealed bid construction contract to a responsible bidder whose bid, conforms to the invitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors included in the invitation. The magnitude of this construction project is estimated between $500.000 and $1,000,000. The appropriate NAICS Code is 236220 addition, alteration and renovation general contractors, commercial and institutional building, with a size standard of $33.5 million dollars. Performance and payment bonds will be required following award pursuant to the Miller Act. A bid guarantee is also required. The procurement is 100% set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Offers from other than HUBZone small business concerns will not be considered by the agency. The required construction completion date is approximately 260 days commencing one day after contract award. The tentative solicitation release date is no earlier than 15 days after posting of this notice in FedBizOpps. It is anticipated that the solicitation (IFB) will be issued on or about May 5, 2011 with bids due or about June 6, 2011. Vendors will need to review and/or update the ORCA record when changes are necessary; annually to maintain an active status.
