Description
The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106) with Maquet Getinge Group, 45 Barbour Pond Drive, Wayne, NJ 07470, as the only responsible source that can provide a bariatric operating table that is compatible with the installed base of Maquet operating tables installed at NMC Portsmouth. This acquisition is being conducted under the FAR 13.5 test procedures for commercial items. Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-24 are incorporated. Naval Medical Center Portsmouth has a requirement for an expansion of the current inventory of operating tables. The system shall be indicated for use in surgical procedures and shall be mobile, not fixed. The system shall have a maximum weight capacity of at least 1000 pounds for supporting bariatric patients. The system shall be capable of tilting 30 degrees Trendelenberg and 30 degrees reverse Trendelenberg. The unit shall have two adjustable leg plates that provide full leg support and can be adjusted both asynchronously and synchronously. The system shall be compatible with the installed base of Maquet Alphamaxx and Alphastar operating tables at NMC Portsmouth. The electrical requirements are 120V, 60Hz, single phase. Items being purchased in this acquisition: Bariatric Operating Table (1) The system shall be compliant with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements to market and deliver medical products for use in the United States of America, even should delivery be requested outside of the United States. The claims made for the product shall comply with the regulations of the FDA with respect to products for marketing and delivery of a medical product for use in the United States of America, even should delivery be requested outside of the United States. Based on the above information, the only technically acceptable system is provided by Maquet Getinge Group.
