Description
CONTROL NUMBER 11 043 The United States Army ACC-APG Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Maryland, 21005 intends to award a new three-year, Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Logistical and Field Support, and Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) for the Enhanced Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) on 30 July 2011, on an other than full and open competition basis pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) for a total estimated price of $70M. Raytheon is currently providing SE&I logistical and field support, and PDSS services for EPLRS under Contract Number W15P7T-06-D-N018. As the original manufacturer of EPLRS, Raytheon developed the tactical data radio system. The proposed action will allow for the design of EPLRS to continue evolving in order to meet critical Warfighter requirements, and provide the effective systems to support critical missions in support of Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO)s. This action is in response to the demands of OCO support, and it is imperative that the support continue without interruption. This synopsis is provided for informational purposes and is not to be considered a request for proposal. The U.S. Army ACC-APG Contracting Center has established the ASFI website to allow electronic posting of this Justification and Approval (J & A) for notification to industry on an upcoming action.
