- ERRC Draft PWS (15 APr 2011) for Industrry review. Comments will not be accepted at this time. An opportunity for interested vendors to provide comments to the PWS and other associated documents may be avialable in the future. This requirement is for Repair, Overhaul and Modification and maintenance functions on J85 jet engines for Air Education and Training Command (AETC) for the Undergraduate Pilot Training (UPT), Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (SUPT), Euro NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJPT), Pilot Instructor Training (PIT) and Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals (IFF), missions. The service provider shall manage the full cycle of production by planning, scheduling, directing, and controlling all maintenance on jet engines at the Engine Regional Repair Center (ERRC) at Laughlin AFB. The Service Provider (SP) will provide for J85 Intermediate and Depot Level maintenance functions required to support flying training operations at the following installations: Randolph AFB, Laughlin AFB, Sheppard AFB and Vance AFB. The United States Air Force, through the Air Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base, is issuing updates to the notice as a preliminary notice to identify potential sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet the requirements for J85 engine repair and overhaul. The requirement is for repair/overhaul of unserviceable J85 engines and components in order to return them to a serviceable condition. Component repair and overhaul comprises the majority of the workload and shall be accomplished in accordance with the latest version of the repair technical orders, technical manuals, specifications, regulations or instructions. Disclaimer: At this time the Government is currently evaluating this operation to determine whether or not it would be in the Government's best interest to in-source; thus we (the Government) do not know and is not forecasting the outcome of the in-sourcing assessment being done. If, however, the operation remains a contracted effort, we may have reduced the time line to conduct a source selection; thus, we are gathering preliminary information for the purposes of conducting market research if the need should arise. Varying documents may be posted for advanced comment in the event this effort is not in-sourced. An interested confirmation or response may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey. This supersedes previous correspondence under the posting "FA3002-10-R-0007 Engine Regional Repair Center (ERRC) -Laughlin AFB." All future information regarding the previously posted ERRC requirement at Laughlin AFB shall be posted under the revised solicitation number FA3002-11-R-0017."
