Description
This is a combined Sources Sought Announcement and request for Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM). This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and does not serve to bind the U.S. Government in any way. Interested parties will not be reimbursed for costs associated with preparation of their responses. The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Rock Island (ACC-RI) is conducting a Sources Sought Market Survey in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to identify potential firms that have the skills, experience, knowledge, and capabilities required to perform the following potential requirements: Sea transportation of palletized Ammunition and Other Sensitive Cargo with Radio Frequency Identification / In-Transit Visibility to/from the following locations on an as-needed basis: FROM: Fort Lewis in the U.S. state of Washington. TO: The countries of the Philippines, Bangladesh, Maldives, Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal, Cambodia and India. and FROM: The Japanese Island of Okinawa. TO: Mainland Japan and the countries of Nepal and Malaysia. Interested parties are encouraged to forward a capabilities statement which outlines their ability to transport sensitive cargo to/from the locations identified above. Please include in your capabilities statement points of contact who can provide additional information if requested. Information submitted within your capabilities statement will provide the U.S. Government with the ability to determine the adequacy of the offered services for meeting the market research request. The U.S. Government also requests a ROM for these services.
