- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-51. The solicitation number is P11PS00478, and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 441222 with an associated small business size standard of $30 in millions. This solicitation is a small business set-aside. This solicitation will result in an award of a firm, fixed-price contract. The National Park Service, Olympic National Park (OLYM) has a requirement for a single contractor to provide (1) ea, 250 hp Outboard Engine, plus installation. DESCRIPTION: The National Park operates and maintains a 21 foot Safeboat with a single outboard engine. The Park utilizes the boat for law enforcement patrols and responses, dive operations, resource management activities, search and rescue operations and oil spill response. Olympic National Park is seeking to replace the 13 year-old outboard engine with a reliable clean burning 2 or 4 cycle engine. Replacement of this Evinrude 200 HP outboard motor is essential to the agency mission. This award will be made on a best value determination, must be able to perform task of previous engine, engine installation and meet the listed specifications. SPECIFICATIONS: Outboard Engine Specifications and required Features:250 hp Outboard Engine - Long ShaftInstallation of engine on 21' SafeboatIncludes:Rigging parts - binnacle, oil tank (if applicable), wiring harnesses, console mounted controls (including ignition, tachometer, Hobbs meter, system checks, shift, trim and throttle) oil filters (if applicable), fuel filter, water separator, sacrificial zinc anode, and control cables.Stainless PropellerRemoval of engine currently on SafeboatNote: Boat currently has 3 year old - 2 battery system with battery isolator switches. Bidder will maintain the current system or upgrade if applicable to their engine. DELIVERY: F.O.B. Destination, plus installation.
