- The 182 Airlift Wing intends to award a Firm fixed price sole source contract under the 41 U.S.C 253 (c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 (2) (C) (ii) (A) only one responsible source to Siemen's. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238210 and the small business size standard is "Not to Exceed" $14 Million. Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to procure an upgrade to a DDC system manufactured by Siemen's and currently owned by the 182nd Airlift Wing. In order to not void the warranty on the Siemen's system, only companies authorized to upgrade the system are being considered. At this time, that company is the manufacturer itself which is Siemen's. Additionally, this upgrade is more cost effective than purchasing an entirely new system. All vendors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). NO award can be made unless the vendor is actively registered in CCR. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must also have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
