Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 15 Contracting Office is seeking qualified responsible firms that are Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Hubzone or 8(A) or small businesses. Requirement Description: (this requirement is for the equipment and startup services only) VISN 15 Contracting office is seeking qualified small businesses that have the performance capability and industrial background to provide large industrial centrifugal 1000 ton chillers, vertical in-line chilled water pumps, and 1000 ton industrial cooling towers for the VA Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. Contract completion date for on-site delivery of equipment after NTP is 160 days to be done during the winter months of 2011/12. Firms with more than 10 years in manufacturing and supply of industrial HVAC equipment are sought. Specified equipment in accordance with the mechanical equipment schedule drawing MP604 contained within the construction documents for Project 589-09202, FCA Bldg 1 HVAC Deficiencies and within accordance with the contract drawings and government specifications 23 64 00 Packaged Water Chillers, 23 21 23 Hydronic Pumps, 23 65 00 Cooling Towers, 23 09 23 Direct Digital control System for HVAC, 26 29 11 Motor Starters, 26 29 21 Disconnect Switches and other relevant VA specifications. Chillers shall be provided with variable speed controls and premium efficiency motors, Hot gas bypass, R134a or R410 refrigerant, Unit mounted Microcomputer control center with Lon Works connectivity capability for integration to facility DDC control system, 60 month extended motor and compressor warranty, 3 days factory trained on-site startup assistance. Vertical in-line pumps shall be provided with premium efficiency inverter ready motors, triple duty valves, and in accordance with mechanical equipment schedule provided within the construction documents. All provided equipment shall be in compliance with all applicable NFPA, NEC, NEMA, ASME, IEEE, ASHRAE, OSHA and other pertinent code requirements. Location: Kansas City VA Medical Center, 4801 Linwood Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64128. Responders must demonstrate that they have at least the years of experience cited above, and it is preferred that the firm has provided the same equipment to other VA Medical Centers throughout the United States. The firm must provide a minimum of three (3) "REFERENCES" for providing same size Chillers, Cooling Towers and associated equipment as described above and startup services for the same. Provide a statement describing what equipment was provided, include the make, model number, size, location, contract/order number, date of contract, government customer, phone number and email address of the government Contracting Officer. If you do not have any government customers to provide as references, provide commercial references for the same equipment. Include the name of your firm, socio-economic category of your firm (SDVOSB,VOSB,8A or HUBZONE or other SB status), DUNS #, complete address, phone & email addresses of contact. All emails from interested firms must be received by close of business May 13, 2011. Firms responding shall email directly the Contracting Officer referencing the following in the subject field, 589-09-202 KCVA MEDICAL CENTER", then contain the following information within the body of the e-mail.
