Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, has a requirement for Crack Sealing, Epoxy Injection and Spall Repair of the concrete Penstock Anchor Points at Hoover Dam, Nevada/Arizona. All work to be performed is located at Hoover Dam, on the Colorado River, approximately 7 miles northeast of Boulder City, Nevada, and 32 miles southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada, in Clark County, Nevada and Mohave County, Arizona. The work includes the following: - Supply labor, materials, supervision, and equipment to complete crack sealing through epoxy injection and spall repair of penstock pedestals. - Each section of the penstock has a stiffner ring and supporting brackets on each side. The support brackets set on a concrete pedestal. On top of the pedestal is a leveling plate. The volume under the leveling plate was grouted after completion of the penstock. Some of the grout caps are cracking and spalling. This project is to restore the grout cap integrity through epoxy injection of the cracks and spall repair. - The work is located in four different penstock tunnels. The work in each tunnel shall be complete before moving to the next penstock tunnel. - The work for Lower Arizona, Upper Arizona, and Upper Nevada can be done during normal work hours, Monday through Friday. Lower Nevada shall be completed between the hours of 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, Monday through Thursday. This requirement is set aside for Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238110, Poured Concrete Foundation and Structure Contractors. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $14.0M. The estimated price range for this requirement is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation, in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP), will be issued on or about May 13, 2011, with offers due thirty (30) days after. No documents will be available until the solicitation is issued. The solicitation will only be issued electronically via www.FedBizOpps.gov. The Government reserves the right to issue the solicitation on paper or CD if the FedBizOpps (FBO) web site becomes inoperable or if the Contracting Officer determines it is in the Government's best interest to do so. Offerors should register at the FBO to be included on the offeror list in order to receive notifications pertaining to the solicitation, or visit the FBO website after issuance download the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. Offerors are required to have a current registration on the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for contract award. Offerors may register on CCR at http://www.ccr.gov.
