Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 16/Station 502, intends to publish a Request of Proposal to provide On-site Mobile Lithotripsy Services (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL)) services at the Alexandria Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Pineville, LA for its beneficiaries. The services include use of equipment (mobile state of the art, digital unit (transportable STORZ Modulith brand or equivalent system)) and related technical support of a minimum of two (2) lithotripsy laser specialists or RNs. Services are to be performed two Wednesday afternoons per month for an estimated 48 patients per year. The VA estimates that there will be 1 to 3 patients per visit. The intended contract period will be for a base period and four option periods to equal 5 years total, which is scheduled to begin on 01 Oct 2011. Contract type will be a fixed procedure price contract, will be solicited under authority of 38 U.S.C. 8153 and VAAR Part 873 and will be procured under FAR 12 and 15 and VAAR Part 873. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 621999 and the small business size standard is $10.0 million. The solicitation package will be available approximately on or about 16 May 2011 and should be downloaded from this website at that time. This acquisition will be unrestricted for full and open competition. This requirement is subject to availability of funds.
