- The solicitation number for this Request for Quotes (RFQ) is Q1569110016. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. The associated NAICS code is 325414 Biological Product (except Diagnostic) Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation is the lowest price. All vendors must be registered and current in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR found at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA found at https://orca.bpn.gov/). Unless amendments are issued extending the solicitation, the offers are due by 10:00 a.m., MST, May 25, 2011. Point of Contact for this procurement is Sue C. Bennett, Purchasing Agent. The offeror shall be capable of completing delivery of insects on or about August 31, 2011. All vendors must provide with quote, a copy of their federal permit to move insects into the State of South Dakota. The State of South Dakota Department of Agriculture and the Custer County Weed & Pest Control Division do not require the recipient to obtain any other permits. Product MUST meet the following specifications:Item #1 - Quantity 4,000 Each - Adult Canada Thistle Stem Mining Weevils (Ceutorhynchus litura).
