- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego, Regional Contracts Dept., Seal Beach division, intends to acquire on a full and open competition basis, maintenance, operations and installation of navy owned equipment with the base telephone system (BTS) at Naval Air Station (NAS) Lemoore, California; using FAR Part 12, Acquisition of commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR Part 15, contracting by negotiation. Requirement is to provide on-site infrastructure maintenance of the navy owned cable facilities and associated peripheral cabling equipment that is used to support the base telephone system at NAS Lemoore. In addition to maintaining the cable, the contractor shall respond to requests for new cable installations and engineering with a detailed Statement of Work including a cost build-up showing the competitive labor and material costs. Drawings (Red line and CAD) are to be provided when determined appropriate. The contractor shall engineer and install T1 ™s, maintain and support Voice Mail system (WMS), two DDM200 ™s (OC-3), two SLC5 ™s and two fiber reach (OC-1) network equipment. Other related equipment such as emergency power systems, system management, console and EPNs, are also to be included in the maintenance contract in support of the BTS. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 517919 and the small business size standard is $25.5 million. The complete statement of work will be provided in the request for proposal (RFP). The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about May 31 2011. The anticipated award date is on or about 30 September 2011. The RFP will be made available electronically at the federal Business Opportunities (www.fedbizopps.gov) and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (www.neco.navy.mil) web sites. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by this agency. Offerors must be registered and active in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. See www.ccr.gov for further information and instruction.
