Description
The Humphreys Engineer Center Support Activity intends to negotiate on a competitive basis a contract to provide medical advice and review of the Corps of Engineers Occupational Health program for Headquarters United States Army Corps of Engineers. A firm fixed price contracts is anticipated. All responsible small business sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency. The North American Industry Classification System (NAISC) code is 621111. It is the Offertory responsibility to watch FedBizOpps for the solicitation (W912HQ-11-T-0017). The Contracting Office will not be notifying when the solicitation is released. Anticipated release date of the Solicitation will be on or about 25 May 2011. A proposal will be due 30 days from the release date unless an amendment is issued to extend. Contracting Office Address: USACE HEC, Ft. Belvoir, ATTN: CEHEC-CT, 7701 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA 22315-3860 Place of Performance: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters, Safety and Occupational Health Office, 441 G Street N.W., Washington D.C. 20314 Point of Contact: Florence Ramsey, 703-428-6421 The contractor will furnish all the necessary personnel, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and materials necessary to provide qualified occupational health and industrial hygiene support to the US Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters Safety and Occupational Health Office. Personnel will include Occupational Health Physician support to serve as Medical Advisor to the Chief of Engineers and Industrial Hygienist to assist the physician. This contract will be for the base year with four (4) one-year option. The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Headquarters Safety and Occupational Health Office (HQUSACE-SO) is responsible for providing policy, programs, technical services, and oversight related to safety and occupational health matters in support of worldwide USACE missions. HQUSACE-SO is located at 441 G Street NW, Washington DC. As a general overview, the services provided under this contract include acting as Medical Advisor to the Chief of Engineers, performing evaluations of Division/District Occupational Health Programs, reviewing USACE employees Emergency Response Medical Screening Questionnaires for civilian deployment s in response to Civil Emergency Operations; providing medical and public health advice and guidance during an identified health threat; reviewing and providing comments on Occupational Health policy and regulations, and responding to a variety of occupational health questions/inquiries as needed.
