Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs will hold a PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE/SITE VISIT for Wednesday June 1, 2011 at 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. Central Standard Time in Madison, WI. The VA intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price solicitation for laundry equipment for the VA Medical Center Madison, WI. The VA is seeking potential sources for a government acquisition to provide: 3(ea) 400/500 Pound Washer Extractor, 2(ea) 400/500 Pound Gas Heated Drying and Conditioning Tumbler w External Lint Collecton, 2(ea) Waste Managed Automated Lint Collection Systems, 1(ea) Flatwork Ironing System, 1(ea) Garment Tunnel Finisher, 1(ea) Semi Automatic Cart Washer/Dryer, 2 (se) Training Materials and Videos, Alternate Bid Items; 1(system) Refurbish and Install Automated Soil and Clean Side Monorail System, 2 (ea) 85/100 Pound Washer Extractors, 2(ea)110/120 Pound Gas Heated Drying and Conditioning Tumblers, 3(ea) Folding Table, 3(ea) Small Piece Folding Machines, 1 (system) Refurbish Automated Soiled Sorting and Storage Conveyors on Soil Side and Clean Side Linen Take-Away Conveyors. NO PROPOSALS ARE REQUESTED AT THIS TIME. The RFP solicitation when issued will be restricted to small businesses set aside applicable NAICS code is 333312. The award(s) will be based on the best value to the Government. All relevant pre solicitation documents may be accessed for download on the date of issue at the following website: http://www.fbo.gov. Any amendments to this pre solicitation will be posted solely to this web site. It is the responsibility of the offeror to verify the number of amendments issued. The location of the conference is: Madison WI VAMC, WM S Middleton Veterans Hospital, 2500 Overlook Terrance, Madison, WI, 53705, Building Two, and Laundry Room 101. Please contact Mr. James F. The VA feels that a site visit is essential to understanding the project.
