- Description
- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to procure on a sole source basis from Mustang Technology Group, L.P., 400 W Bethany Dr. Ste 110, Allen, TX 75013-3714, a quantity of one (1) feasibility study for the implementation of an Advanced Radio Frequency (RF) Sensor into a 5-inch conventional NATO standard fuze shape and assess possible performance improvements against Anti-Surface (ASUW) and High Speed Maneuverable Surface Threats (HSMST). This procurement is sole source to Mustang Technology Group, L.P. as in late FY10, NSWCDD posted a synopsis seeking companies capable of providing RF based seeker technologies that could be implemented on gun-launched munitions and Mustang was the only company that responded with an existing design. The design maintains the correct from factor for a variety of USN gun-launched munitions. At that time, no other vendors had any design plans in place or any efforts to address form factor requirements defined by the NATO standard. The NAICS code is 541712 with a size standard of 500 employees. The government reserves the right to award on an all or none basis or to make partial awards to fulfill the needs of the government. The award shall be firm fixed price. FOB Destination shall apply. The solicitation number is N00178-11-R-1047. All interested parties shall contact the Contract Specialist at (540) 653-7605 or kelley.fitzsimmons@navy.mil. In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). DoD will no longer make award to vendors not registered in CCR. Vendors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov.
