Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Weather Service (NWS) has a requirement for up to 20,000 each new 1680 MHz (ART) Type IIA radiosondes and for up to 2,000 each reconditioned 1680 MHz (ART) Type IIA radiosondes for upper air ART sites in Guam, Barrow, Caribou, Kodiak, McGrath, Kotzebue and Cold Bay and up to 15,000 each new radiosondes for upper air sites in the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Curacao, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, San Andres Island, Santo Domingo, St. Maarten and Trinidad. Only radiosondes which are included on the NWS 1680 MHz ART (Type IIA) Qualified Products List may be offered for the upper air sites in Guam, Barrow, Caribou, Kodiak, McGrath, Kotzebue and Cold Bay. Only radiosondes compatible with the existing ground system (which is the iMet-1500 ground system) may be offered for the upper air sites in the Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Curacao, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, San Andres Island, Santo Domingo, St. Maarten and Trinidad. Information concerning the NWS 1680 MHz ART (Type IIA) Qualified Products List may be obtained by contacting Carl A. Bower, Jr., NWS Code W/OPS22, at telephone (301) 713-2093 extension 115. Deliveries will be made F.O.B. Destination to the National Logistics Support Center in Kansas City, Missouri beginning two months after contract award. One or more items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreement. Solicitation DG133W-11-RP-0083 will be issued on or about May 31, 2011 and will close on or about June 30, 2011. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency.
