Description

Furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete project 553- 11-108, Relocate Police to Lower Level at the John D Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R, Detroit, MI. Project is to relocate the Police Service Area C1920 - C1930 from the 1st floor to the lower level file room and relocate the 4th floor PAS's/PIV room B4213. Work to include but is not limited to demolition of existing areas, new architectural, plumbing, electrical, mechanical equipment, signage, data and telecommunication, fire protection and finish construction, as well as associated building modifications required to perform the work, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items as covered in the contract documents, plans and specifications. Work is phased per the contract specifications and drawings and some work shall be performed during other than normal business hours. Estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. Applicable NAICS is 236220 and the Small Business size standard of $33.5 million average annual receipts for the preceding 3 fiscal years applies. This project is set-aside for a service-disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB). Completion time is 365 calendar days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. Solicitation will be available on or about June 6, 2011, from the website http://www.fbo.gov/. Bid opening is scheduled for July 6, 2011. A prebid site visit will be announced when the solicitation is posted. It is highly recommended that contractors attend the scheduled prebid site visit as it is not anticipated a second site visit will be conducted and firms are not permitted to tour the medical center unescorted.
