- This synopsis is an announcement for an Industry Day to be held on May 24, 2011 at 201 Varick Street, New York, NY 10014 (cross streets are West Houston and King) between the hours of 12:00 -14:30. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), a component of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has a continuing need to contract for Transportation/Guard Officers (herein referred as Detention Officers) to provide, operate and manage the transportation and guarding of detainees in ICE custody for the New York Field Office Area of Responsibility (AOR) to include the States of New York and New Jersey, commonly known as the New York City Metropolitan area (Please see attached for further information). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561612. Response to this Synopsis The Government is considering award of a Firm Fixed Price Contract with a twelve (12) month base and four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. Interested parties (whether attending the Industry Day or not) should provide the following information by May 18, 2011: 1) Company Name and Address; 2) Point of Contract Information including name(s), phone number, email and fax; 3) The availability to attend the scheduled Industry Day; 4) Business Size Standard (Small Business, Large Business, Hubzone, etc.) and DUNS Number; and 5) Business experiences associated with the similar requirements (2 page limit). All responses to this synopsis should be sent via email to Sunny Kim, Contract Specialist, at Jisun.Kim@dhs.gov and please cc Mr. Matthew Robertson at Matthew.B.Robertson@dhs.gov. If you plan to attend in the Industry Day, please limit company representatives to two (2) individuals. The entrance to 201 Varick Street is on the Houston Street side of the building. The closest subway is the Number 1 line at Houston Street Station. Alternatively, the West 4th Street Station is the next closest. Visitors to the building will need to have a photo ID and go through a security/magnometer checkpoint. Attendees will be met in the lobby area and escorted upstairs to the meeting room.
