- This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources such as 8(a), HUBZone, small disadvantaged, service-disabled veteran-owned businesses relative to North American Industrial Classification System code 541330, which has a size standard of $4.5 million in average annual receipts. Responses will be used to determine appropriate acquisition decisions. Design, installation, evaluation, revision, rehabilitation, training and implementation of Automated Data Acquisition Systems that fully interact and communicate with WinIDP software are required for various types of civil works and military projects assigned to Districts within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division. AE Services will potentially consist of designing and installing new, rehabilitating existing, automating old and integrating with old, reporting on designs both existing and potential Automated Data Acquisition Systems and associated instrumentation for concrete gravity and earthen flood control dams, levee's, lock and dams, and floodwalls fully assuring compatibility and integration with mandated WinIDP software. Additionally, contractor will be required to accomplish geotechnical drilling services while providing for geotechnical logging of core and soil samples in accordance with Corps standards. These tasks are to support our mission to plan, design, construct, operate and control reservoirs and dams, flood damage reduction projects, navigation projects, as well as, support others in their missions within the jurisdiction of the selecting Districts and may be utilized for multi-Division wide projects within the boundaries identified above. Firms must have the capability of complying with the current U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Manuals including but not limited to EM 385-1-1, EM 1110-1-1804, EM 1110-1-2908, EM-1110-2-1908, and EM-1110-2-4300. Responses to this sources sought announcement must include a matrix of direct experience with Automated Data Acquisition System installation, rehabilitation, evaluation, training, implementation, and WinIDP programming and integration, as well as, the contractors type of business such as 8(a), HUBZone, etc. Contractors are hereby encouraged to make known their interest in this type of work.
