- Brand Name Letter This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commodities prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subparts 12.6 and 13.302, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-51. The solicitation reference number is F4AT840356AC01 and this solicitation is being issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This acquisition will be a 100% small business set-aside under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334511 with a small business size standard of 750 employees. CLIN 0001: (Qty 19 Ea) - AR 4201 VHF/AM Transceiver, P/N 0868.541-910 Please note that CLIN 0001 is a Becker Avionics Inc Brand Name Requirement, see the attached Brand Name Justification. CLIN 0002: (Qty 19 Ea) - Voltage Regulator VR 4011, P/N 0513-156-918 Please note that CLIN 0002 is a Becker Avionics Inc Brand Name Requirement, see the attached Brand Name Justification. CLIN 0003: (Qty 5 Ea) - Garmin GPS Map 496 Americas Aviation GPS Receiver-TFT-480x320-color P/N M02-10131-00 Please note that CLIN 0003 is a Brand Name or Equal requirement. Equal items quoted must meet the following salient characteristics: • Display Size: 3.75" • Display: 256-color, sunlight readable TFT with adjustable backlight • Built-in AOPA airport directory data • Smart Airspace feature to identify what airspace lies ahead • 5 Hz update rate on maps and "Panel" instruments • Preloaded with detailed City Navigator NT street maps and POI database • Upload custom POIs, including alerts for speed zones, and safety cameras • Water resistant, IEC 60529 IPX7 standards (submersible to 1 meter for 30 minutes) CLIN 0004: (Qty 5 Ea) - Garmin Lithium Ion Battery Pack, P/N 010-10517-01 Please note CLIN 0004 is a Brand Name or Equal requirement. Lithium batteries quoted must meet the following salient characteristics: • Must be compatible with Garmin 496 GPS Americas or the equal item quoted Contractor's total price shall include the price of each delivery. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. The Government anticipates award on a best value basis. The Government intends to award a firm, fixed priced purchase order in accordance with FAR 13.1 to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government based on technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement and price. Price A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party.
