- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit Juneau, Alaska is conducting a market survey to determine if potential commercial small business sources are available and capable to provide a Portable Glycol Hot Water Boiler Plant and deliver to USCG Air Station Sitka, Sitka Alaska. The portable hot water boiler plant shall be a complete and fully operable van trailer mounted system. The hot water plant shall include a horizontal dry back oil fired Scotch Marine type boiler and associated controls and instrumentation, a fuel oil day tank and fuel transfer pump, boiler blend pump, all necessary hydronic piping, valves and components wiring, insulation, and utility connections. The portable boiler shall be used with a 50% propylene glycol solution. The NAICS code for this procurement is 333414. This sources sought synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The required completion date for this project would be on or before November 30, 2011. Specific Survey Information Desired: a) Name and addresses (including phone numbers and Point of Contacts (POC s) of firms interested in and capable of providing these requirements; b) Catalog and other company literature; c) Any contractor restrictions in meeting the requirement. For example indicate if your operations are limited to certain geographical areas; c) Indicate if your firm is a Small or Large Business, HUBZone and/or 8(a). All responses should be submitted by May 27, 2011 to the Contracting Officer, USCG CEU Juneau, P. O. Box 21747, Juneau, AK 99802-1747. Responses should not exceed (5) single-sided, 8-1/2" x 11" pages with the font no smaller than 10 point. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a Small Business Set-aside, or on an unrestricted basis will be posted on FEDBIZOPPS at www.fbo.gov. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the sole purpose of obtaining information from prospective Offerors. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be issued at this time. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing a response to this notice.
