- Technical Services; The Southern Research Station, Southern Institute of Forest Genetics at Saucier, MS has a requirement for Single Nucleotide Polymorhism (SNP) genotyping services. Contractor will process samples using Illumina Infinium technology, or equivalent and return raw and finished SNP gentoype Data to Southern Insitute of Forest Genetics. The contractor shall provide SNP genotyping data for at least 5000 SNPs for 1152 DNA samples of chestnut (Castanea spp). Southern Institute Forest Genetics will provide the samples of the contractor's specifications. Contractor will process samples using Illumina Infinium technology, or equivalent and return raw and finished SNP genotype data to Southern Institute of Forest Genetics within 30 Business Days. The Contractor will include a Base Period of Performance from June 27,2011 thru December 31, 2011 and one 12 month option period from January 1,2012 thru December 31,2012. The Government will determine if the option will be exercised. The finished genotype data comes as one of five letters (A,C,G,T, or N) for each SNP (i,e; a specific location in the genome).
