This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W912L2-11-T-0018 and will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-12. All responsible sources may submit a firm-fixed price (FFP) quote which shall be considered by the agency. Quote shall be labeled with the solicitation number. b. The Government intends to purchase a devise to separate aggregate/grizzly. c. Vendors shall submit a quote to deliver and provide the following equipment, for a quantity of two: 12' Adjustable Bar Grizzly d. All quotes should be marked valid through 3:00pm EST of July 3, 2011. Quotes will be evaluated based solely on FAR 12.602(b). If a quote fails to meet any of the instructions in this solicitation then it will be set aside and not considered. e. The Statement of Work (SOW) is attached at the end of this Combined Synopsis f. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. g. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. h. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. For a copy of the solicitation in a more readable format than what is provided by FedBizOps, please send an e-mail request to SFC McKendry. Statement of Work 12' Adjustable Bar Grizzly 1. Background. The Arizona Army National Guard (AZNG) has a requirement to purchase two grizzly's for the 253rd Engineer Battalion, to support road construction missions. 2. Requirements / Tasks. The Vendor will provide the following piece of equipment described below: a. Minimum dimensions: 12' wide. Preferred dimensions 8'-6" high x 7' depth. The Government maintains that this product is custom made by different manufactures and that the government's target is the preferred dimensions. Dimensions different from the preferred dimensions are acceptable if larger, but shall not to exceed 20% of the preferred dimensions. Decision to acquire, will be based on FAR 12.602(b). b. Constructed of SCH 80- 4" x 4" x 1/4" square tubing. c. Sidewalls of Grizzly to be a minimum of 1/4" steel plate. d. Front wall of Grizzly to be a minimum of 1/4" steel plate. e. Grizzly bars must be constructed of a minimum of Schedule 80 square tubing. Minimum dimensions 3" x 3" x 1/4". Alternate designs of Grizzly bars will be accepted, but must meet strength requirements of SCH 80 and all requirements listed below. Decision to acquire, will be based solely on FAR 12.602(b). f. Grizzly bars must be able to be secured by hardware (grade 5 or better, no metric sizing) and in size and quantity sufficient to secure the grizzly bars, for its intended use. g. Grizzly bars must be adjustable in 1" increments, screen angle set at 40 degree slope, plus or minus 10 degrees. h. Starting Grizzly bar opening at 3". i. Total weight not to exceed 8000 lbs. j. Grizzly deck must be attached to the frame permanently, spring decks and removable decks will be considered, but decision to acquire, will be based solely on FAR 12.602(b). k. Grizzly must be painted to prevent rust. No color is specified. 3. Delivery. a. Vendor must contact POC to arraign for schedule of delivery. No deliveries will be accepted without notification. The POC must be 48 hours prior to delivery, Monday thru Friday. POC for Delivery/Notification is SFC Cote: 602-629-4875. b. The Vendor shall have the Grizzly delivered no later than 30 days from receipt of order. All costs associated with the delivery of the Grizzly will be incurred by the Vendor/FOB Destination.
