- The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm, fixed price supply type contract to be negotiated on a full and open basis for various articles of Flame Resistant (FR) clothing in support of NAVFAC Eng. Command Far East Japan 96349-0013. The Contractor shall provide various items, such as, but not limited to: FR hip length coat, Flash bib overall pants, voltage gloves, arc hood with ventilation system, sock hood. All items are listed as brand name or equal. Offeror is required to provide information for each product including manufacturer, brand name and/or part number and model number, and country of manufacture. Delivery is required to be within 45 days after contract award with inspection and acceptance FOB Destination and shipping to Travis AFB, CA 94535 for transshipment to Japan. The acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. The solicitation will be issued on or about 18 May 2011 with a closing date of 01 June 2011. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price supply type contract. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under Business Opportunities under solicitation number N00406-11-T-0705 . The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror s inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site. Telephone and facsimile requests will not be honored. Electronic submission of proposals is NOT available for this procurement.
