- Description
- The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price contract for Fleet Weather Center Norfolk providing Weather Observation and Forecasting Services at twenty-one (21) Naval Air Stations within the United States and Cuba. This procurement has been accepted by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as a Competitive 8(a) procurement for small disadvantaged businesses currently certified in the SBA ™s 8(a) Program at the time of award. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541990, All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services and the size standard is $7.0 Million. The Product Service Code/Federal Supply Code (PSC/FSC) is R427, Profession Services-Weather Reporting and Observation. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or around 24 May 2011 and will contain the entire Performance Work Statement, Evaluation Criteria, and Instructions to Offerors delineating what information is required in addition to pricing. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at www.neco.navy.mil, as this office no longer issues hard copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency.
