Description
The Army Fixed Wing Office, PEO Aviation Redstone Arsenal, Alabama is seeking information from potential sources for Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft. There is no solicitation package available at this time. The Army may procure up to seven (7) new twin engine turboprop aircraft that will host the Medium Altitude Reconnaissance Surveillance System (MARSS) or the Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) system payload. The aircraft must meet all of the following requirements: Service Ceiling: 35,000 feet; Maximum Airspeed: NLT 300 Knots True Airspeed (KTAS); Loiter speed approximately 130 KTAS; MTOW: 16,500 lbs; Endurance: 5.0 to 6.5 hours (For performance calculations assume 3,500 lbs for the following: Mission Equipment Package (MARSS or LIDAR Sensors, ASE, COM/NAV/LOS/BLOS, cockpit display system, carry a crew of 4, 2 pilots and 2 sensor operators, and anticipated structural modifications)); each operator position shall host a workstation to include racks for mounting equipment and monitors, work surface, intercom and radio controls, crew seats and controls for the system. The aircraft shall have a production certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or equal and shall be certified IAW Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 23. All responses to this notice shall be submitted to PEO Aviation, Fixed Wing Product Management Office, ATTN: SFAE-AV-AS-FW/Rodney Hill, Building 5309, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898. Your responses are required by COB 26 May 11. This is market research and is not a request for quote for proposals. Nothing shall be construed herein or through this research process to commit or obligate the Government to further action as a result of this research.
