Description
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Fleet andCustomer Support Branch (Code 41300) is seeking information on commercially available software or appliances that can be used to remotely access laptops, desktops, and servers to facilitate remote desktop technical support. Vendors will be required to describe how their product will address remote support functionality from within the Navy and Marine Corp Internet (NMCI) network environment using communications protocols compliant with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) Category Assurance List (CAL), and the applications or appliances utility to integrate into the BMC Remedy Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application. The application or appliance and all associated solution components must be Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2 compliant, support Department of Defense (DoD) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Common Access Card (CAC) authentication for Cryptographic Log On (CLO) / Single-Sign-On (SSO), be compatible with current Microsoft Windows operating systems (i.e. Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, 2003, and 2008) with maintenance for future releases, and meet all Navy and Information Assurance (IA) requirements, as applicable. Information provided should include a description of a remote desktop support process starting from within the NMCI network environment, traversing the internet dealing with applicable ports and protocols, and connecting to end-users in other networks of varying configurations (e.g. firewalls, proxies, Network Address Translation (NAT), etc.) The target audience for this information is organizations that produce software and/or hardware which enables remote access to customers and end-users systems facilitating keyboard, video, and mouse interaction from Help Desk personnel systems for troubleshooting purposes. Review of this information is being performed by SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic Fleet and Customer Support Branch, which aims to conduct objective comparative assessments and validation of remote control software or hardware options that would enable the Fleet and Customer Support Center to conduct remote technical support to end-users in any network at any location. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, and URL. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. A point of contact (POC) for follow-up information, and the POCs phone number and e-mail address. 4. Product name and a brief description (1000 words or less). 5. Cost information such as purchase price as well as any existing contract vehicles. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion into the SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic Fleet and Customer Support Branch. Follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through Federal Business Opportunities posting agency. Vendors may be contacted following submissions for more detailed product information.
