Description
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region intends to award a sole source contract to Grand Valley Power (GVP) located at 2727 Grand Ave, Grand Junction, CO 84502-0190. The project consists of extending an existing 3-phase, primary overhead distribution line approximately 9,254 feet to the future site of the Horsthief Canyon Native Fish Facility and to provide a 75 kvs 277/480 volt 3-phase pole mounted transformer bank and associated meter equipment. A Justification and Approval is being processed for this requirement. The Government anticipates awarding a cost reimbursement contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237130 (Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction). This requirement is intended as a sole source contract due to the fact that the lines are owned by GVP, and GVP has a longstanding policy prohibiting outside vendors from performing work on their power transmission lines. All interested parties must respond within 15 days of the appearance of this notice in FedBizOpps. To be considered, interested offerors must submit technical literature describing their capability to effectively satisfy this requirement, as well as terms and conditions and a complete price quote within 15 days of this notice, to the following email address: tworthington@usbr.gov. No solicitation exists and requests for a copy of a solicitation will be disregarded unless one is subsequently issued. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If such a solicitation is issued, an additional synopsis may be published. Any such solicitation that will be open to competition will be issued on FedBizOpps in order to permit firms to respond.
