Description
The FAA has a requirement for evaluation and repair services for Moving Target Simulator (MTS), part number G432082-1, which is a line replaceable unit (LRU) within the Terminal Doppler Weather Radar (TDWR). Responsible sources must maintain an auditable Quality Management System (QMS) containing all elements of the ISO 9001:2000 Standard. These repair services are only known to be available from Microwave Engineering Corporation, North Andover, MA, as the repair processes are proprietary to Microwave Engineering Corporation. Interested vendors must provide proof that they have access to a test set, which will be required in order to accomplish system testing. The FAA does not have a test set to provide to the vendor as Government Furnished Property. The FAA does not possess specifications or drawings to allow other sources to repair these items. The contractor must have access to the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) specifications and drawings. Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof for rights to use the data from the OEM. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. Interested parties who can comply with and meet all of the requirements called out in this market survey should respond with their documentation in writing to the Contracting Officer. All responses to this market survey must be received by Friday, June 03, 2011, 3:00 CST (Oklahoma Time).
