Description
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Polk, Louisiana will issue a Request for Quotation with intent to award a firm-fixed price contract to provide the below described system. The applicable NAICS code is 561621 Alarm Systems and Monitoring Services. Solicitation will be issued on or about 5-20-2011 with offer due date on or about 6-6-2011. The solicitation and any amendments will be posted and available for view and download at Federal Business Opportunities as well as ASFI. Interested parties should review their Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE code); be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) and ORCA. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract. FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures will be used for this procurement. POC for this action is Contract Specialist Supatcharee Hyd, email supatcharee.hyde@us.army.mil, phone 337-531-2224. Contractor will install a HUGS infant protection system on the fourth and fifth floors of the Bayne Jones Army Hospital, Fort Polk, LA. This system will include the KISSES and mothers tag application, PEDZ application and the PASSPORT application all to reside on the same server. Each floor will have a designated "safe area". This is where patients are normally located, and may move or be moved freely within this area. All exits from the safe area are to be monitored by Exciters. As soon as a tag comes near an exit, an alarm occurs showing the specific tag and its exact location. This will trigger a connection to the hospitals existing electronic locking system to lock the door preventing the patient from leaving the safe area. Contractor will provide all materials, wiring, labor and equipment necessary to install the "system". The HUGS system is a standalone network and will not require any connectivity to the Hospital Network as long as "all" computers/work stations used are dedicated for HUGS applications only.
