- The VA Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven and Newington Campuses, is seeking sources that are verified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) to perform emergency and/or routine plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning requirements (NAICS 238220, small business size $14 million). In order to be responsive to this sources sought notice you must be verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprise in accordance with VA Acquisition Regulation 804.1102 and comply with the requirements of Public Law 109-461. Currently there are three requirements to be solicited. The first is installation of a Government furnished medical air and medical vacuum system for dental equipment to be installed in a mechanical room. The second is a repair to plant supply chilled water pumps to include supplying the material and labor to install two water pumps. The third is replacement of the pre-heater tube bundle under the steam to steam generator and replacement of the deteriorated piping and add additional valves. The Government reserves the right to solicit these requirements as one requirement. All responsible interested sources are encouraged to submit their capabilities in regard to the above no later than close of business May 27, 2011. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. Please include your company name, address, telephone number, email address, technical point of contact, proof of CVE verification, and documentation addressing the ability to meet the requirements of Public Law 109-461; specifically for services at least 50 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance will be spent for employees of the concern or of other eligible SDVOSB or for construction by special trade 25 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance will be spent for employees of the concern or of other eligible SDVOSB. The same requirements apply for VOSB. Sources interested in this acquisition should adequately describe their experience performing this type of requirement. Interested sources should ensure that registration in CCR is current and accurate and they are certified in Vet biz as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses.
