- Description
- Defense Logistics Agency has a brand name requirement for Citrix XenApp Platinum Edition Maintenance Renewal with Subscription Advantage. This is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) # SP4707-11-Q-0048. Place of performance is Battle Creek, Michigan. Inspection, acceptance and F.O.B. are at destination, Battle Creek, Michigan. Delivery shall be no later than 30 calendar days after award date. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #2005-51. A redacted copy of the required brand-name justification is included within this announcement. This is an unrestricted acquisition and the associated NAICS code is 541511 with a size standard of $25,000,000 in annual receipts. Offerors shall provide a price for each contract line item number (CLIN) in their quote. Quotes with quantities of less than requested or products other than those requested will be deemed technically unacceptable. CLIN Descriptions: CLIN 001: Citrix XenApp Platinum Edition Maintenance Renewal with Subscription Advantage, P/N: SUBCPSPLPCSAR, QTY: 100 EA. POP: 1 May 2011 through 30 APR 2012. Redacted Justification: Citrix Subscription advantage platform program supports the Government's telecommuting programs that allow employees to manage their work at an alternate work site, such as the employees home, a telecenter, or other location, to accomplish their work in an effective and efficient manner, all which is essential to the mission. No other platform provides the breadth of Citrix's system management function in maintaining the Agency's compliant environment. When compared to other brands offered in the commercial market, the unique features offered by Citrix's platform provide superior data center security against vulnerabilities and comprehensive management of the network. This eliminates application downtime and increased IT administrator productivity, allowing agencies to meet their mission objectives. The Governments operational requirements, interface requirements, and current operation environment cannot be changed or altered to accommodate an alternate product without incurring additional significant cost that will not be recouped through competition. This is a justified brand name requirement, therefore, potential offerors shall be an authorized Citrix Systems, Inc. Sales Agent and source directly through Citrix, or Citrix authorized channels only. Quotes that do not meet this requirement shall be considered technically unacceptable. The evaluation factor(s) for award is; lowest-price, technically acceptable. Any resulting contract or order will be firm-fixed price. Please place "SP4707-11-Q-0048" in the subject field of any e-mail correspondence. Questions regarding this RFQ are due by 5/25/2011 at 4:00 p.m. EST. Questions received after this time will not be answered. Responses are due by 5/27/2011 at 4:00 p.m. EST. Quotes received after this time will be considered late and will not be considered for award. Please include your Cage code with your quote.
